Our Solid Sided GuardShack Enclosure is constructed with rugged 18 gauge solid steel sheet metal instead of expanded metal. It is perfect to hide expensive fixtures from sight, or when used with a FrostGuard Insulated Blanket, aid in weather proofing your valve or other assets from moisture and cold snaps.
The laser cut logo, end panels allow for natural air circulation, and are designed to work for pumps or air inlet valves.
All of our solid enclosures feature our signature rounded design which provides both superior strength and safety over square cages, without any sharp corners.
They are constructed of strong 1 1/4" Schedule 40 pipe (never tubing), 18 gauge steel sheet and meticulously welded every 4 inches, exceeding ASSE Structural Strength Standards. (see full specs for more information)
While smaller sizes are Lift Off Style, the larger sizes come with hinges on one side to mitigate the weight of the cages. Hinges are internally mounted to the concrete on the inside of the cage to avoid tampering.
These are professionally powder coated to exacting standards for lasting durability, in environmentally friendly premium finishes. Standard colors for these models are in high gloss Woodland Tan & Forest Green which were selected to blend into most any landscaping. Custom sizes and colors are available, please consult factory.
All our powder coated enclosures come with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in material and workmanship.

Premium Hardware Included
Hardware kits come with upgraded 3/8” Forged Hot Dipped Galvanized Eyebolts (with powder coated models), or 3/8” Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel Eyebolts (with Coast GuardShack models). These are stronger and more resistant to thieves.
Our cages come with all installation hardware for wet concrete installation (Lift-Off models) or dry concrete installation (Hinged models) and for use with our Pre-Fab EncPad™ Enclosure Bases (where applicable.
For added security, these cages come with integrated 3/16” thick steel LockShield Brackets (LSB) that rest flush on the concrete to protect the forged eyebolts and padlocks against bolt cutters.
Lift off models come with two LSB’s, while hinged models only need one LSB.
Our custom made heavy duty hinges are cut from 3/16” steel plate and utilize a stainless steel bolt to prevent them from rusting. They have hidden anchor point. preventing tampering, so they are not exposed on the outside of the cage.
These hinges allow the entire cage to swing back, mitigating the weight of larger cages while allowing complete access to the backflow valve they are covering.

All our enclosures are professionally powder coated to exacting standards for lasting durability, in environmentally friendly premium finishes. Premium powder coating begins with a five-part metal cleaning and iron phosphate solution treatment. Units are further preheated before applying 2-3 millimeter thick polyester powder conforming to A.S.T.M. Impact Resistant and Adhesive specifications.

We know sometimes there is no such thing as a standard install with so many variations and in field situations; sometimes a custom cage might be just what you need. For 25 years we have been making custom cages out of various materials, special utility cut outs, doors, unique angles, footprints, and every color imaginable. Just let us know what you need.
The Guardshack series is constructed using stout 1 ¼” Schedule 40 A.S.T.M. Grade A Electric Weld steel pipe. Other competitors use lighter, cheaper tubing which is easily dented and damaged in transit and in the field.
We use sturdy ½” #13 gauge expanded metal allowing our cages to pass lab tests that exceed 300 lbs of weight per square Foot
All welds are meticulously placed at least every 4 inches making our cages exceed ASSE 1060-98 Structural Strength Standards.
Welds, rough spots & edges are carefully ground down leaving a smooth to the touch enclosures with never any sharp edges.
